With only two days spent
in the New Year, musicians such as the VRMG boss Edem, BHIM leader Stonebwoy
and fante Van Damme Pappy Kojo have started treating their fans to some good
music.
On the 1st of
Jan 2016, rapper Edem released his most anticipated song ‘Nana 3ba’. The song
sparked so much controversy in the last days of 2015.
Nana 3ba is a song that
talks about a king in his own space; Edem uses the popular Ashanti term “Nana”
as a figure of speech and also uses the name ironically which is popularly
tagged to a certain political party flag bearer.
Onto the next release for
2016; the commander general of the BHIM Nation Stonebwoy.
Stonebwoy takes the fans
and music lovers to church in his new single ‘By Grace’. When I listened to the song, I connected with
it immediately because of the emotional play of the song.
It’s a new year there
could not have been a better way to start the 365 journey than than God because
it is by his grace and that is what Stonebwoy said in the new jam.
The song produced by Touch Points Music & Beats Dakay is a praise and thanks giving reggae song; it is that song you will
want to listen to and sing along when you saying how grateful you are to God.
Pappy Kojo, the fante Vam
Damme drops a joint for his fans on a new year titled: ‘Awoa’. The ‘Realer No’ hit man takes us to the clubs
early with this new single.
In the song I hear Joey
B’s voice used as ‘BVs’ (Backing vocalist) and actress Yvonne Nelson targeted
and hit on heavily.
The Kuvie produced song
speaks about how Pappy Kojo will not easily spare a lady he has meant to be
with for a long time.
As to whether he was
referring to Yvonne Nelson we are yet to find out but for now enjoy the new
Pappy Kojo – ‘Awoa’ produced by Kuvie.
