Banku music CEO Mr. Eazi known in real life as Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade might have just saved a lot of music careers with his latest announcement on twitter for his Empawa100 project.
If you recall, the “leg over hit maker” started a project to fund 100 artistes across Africa giving each selected artiste a support base to shoot a music video for the song they believe in.
After selecting the 100 artistes, MR.Eazi then selected final 10 artistes who joined him in South Africa for a special music boot camp.
Well, after days In South Africa, the Empawa team has announced that it might just increase its invest from $3K to a $100K for few more artistes with good music business plan.
This according to Mr. Eazi, will help these artistes stay independent.
Even though this workshop is for a selected few, I really do hope that Mr. Eazi gets to host a music Conversation just to change the narrative about music business in Africa especially Ghana.
Congratulations to all the Empawa Africa guys and the artistes.
