Ruff N Smooth will on the 13th of November be donating a performance to the Labone Senior High School’s funfair dubbed ‘Melt Down’ to say thank you to their senior high school fans.
As usual majority of musicians forget about the senior high schools and hardly perform for them during their programmes but as part of the group’s responsibility Ruff N Smooth welcomes the idea to melt down Labone Senior high school come Saturday.
‘In accepting the offer, Ruff N Smooth said: ‘we remember our secondary school days when we were chasing to hold the mic just to prove the point that we could sing’.
Then friends were encouraging us to go try out anytime it was entertainment, those little pushes has made us who we are today and we are humbled to go back to our roots to say thank you.
The basic aim of going back is to tell our younger ones that it is possible to make it as a professional musician out of school’s entertainment; hence they should never miss it.
With regards to the songs they will be performing, Ruff N Smooth said: ‘during Empire’s 10/10/10 party when we played the slow jam version of ‘Swagger’ the response was astounding, ‘Azingele’ ft S.K. Blings is in there, Sex Machine, Monalisa plus the hit song ‘Swagger’ this time the real version, so we will be doing all these songs just for the satisfaction of our senior school fans.
Their final words: ‘every Senior high School student should be at Labosco on the 13th of November 2010 if they want to get up close and personal with us and most importantly watch us perform live on stage, it is going to be an experience worth keeping.
