It will be unwise to beef Sarkodie in a country where tribalism is still a problem - Edem

Rapper Edem has cleared the air as to whether his song “Heyba” was a diss to Sarkodie or not.

The song which was and still is one of the best hip hop songs was assumed by many fans that the content in it was targeted at rapper Sarkodie.

In his defense and response, Edem said on LuvFM in Kumasi that he thinks that in Hip hope there is always room for competition especially when people (fans) think you and another rapper are at par but that song was not meant for Sarkodie.

The “Toto” hit maker then opined that it will be unhealthy for the two of them (Sarkodie and himself) looking at the kind of people they both represent.

“I am tagged to represent a certain tribe per my kind of language i use in my music and so is Sarkodie, there fore going at him in a country where Tribalism is trivial will not make sense”- Edem noted.

The rapper who just released a new banger PHD, intelligently might have answered what many thought was going to be a tough one.

I could not agree more with Edem with his response especially when the two rappers in question will understand each other because it is hip hop but the fans and  people will get it all wrong, leading to something else.
