Edi Young is part of the seven skills in a million record label signed, to channel out positive music into the soul’s of people.

Even though his name makes him young, he is a grown man at heart, a Proof of this is when his passion evokes him to dig into his soul to croon his thoughts with emotion.

Known in real life as Edidiong Otu Okon, he harnessed his skill back in high school where he developed a sharp tongue always wanting to take his fury out on his teachers.

Born January 19, 1989 to Mr. and Mrs. Out Ekpe Okon, he hails from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria but grew up in Lagos with two siblings, Uyime and Precious.

 Edi is studying accounting at the Valley View
University and hopes to hold himself accountable for his financial deals in future.

Young’s initial foray into music came in the choir of the Zion Church, Lagos – Nigeria as a young backup singer then, always shying away from lead vocals he pushed for recognition.
 Coming from the campus of Valley View University where His musical career became official.

He later hooked up with Adewumi Seun (Seans Baba), CEO of Seans Records and artistes Chi Boy (Dat Igbo Boi) and Balo Flash (Omo Fi.di.ty) but there was little to write home about.

Luck smiled on him when he met Jayso in 2010 who agreed to support him and from there they have been making magic on his debut album, called “Young Bobby”.

Inspiration is drawned from a wide array of sources, primarily, he looks to God first, secondly he looks to musicians such as R Kelly, Ray Charles, Sisqo, 50 Cents, Bob Marley and anybody else who ever sang to inspires him.

He sees himself as the success in music, one dream he holds in high esteem and heritage he will always cherish.

Edi Young has the power to make you smile when all odds are against you and he is from the Skillions camp, where positive music is their focus.

The skills meet talent; a Skillion is born, what a way to announce his presence in Ghana, Edi Young, has come for the better part of the cake.
