The drama continues on Vodafone icons as the show gets very interesting by the week and Like a good action movie, there is always a shocking twist to happenings on the show.

This week had its fair share as Kolors narrowly escaped eviction after what was described as a captivating performance last week. Kolors, who have earned themselves the title “Nubian queens”, could not believe it when they found themselves in the bottom together with diamond who survived eviction last week but unfortunately had to take the final bow after the judges unanimously saved kolors.

As usual, the show must go on no matter how teary the eviction which always precedes performances, and like divas Kolors tried to wow the audience again’ as it was “African Night on the show this week, with a beautiful performance of Yvonne Chaka Chaka’s “African beer” but could not hide the fact that almost getting evicted had taken a big hit on their emotions.  

But this was after Chili, whom most viewers of the show thought would have been evicted after a horrible performance last week, came on stage and almost proved everybody wrong when they put their voices to Angelique Kudjo’s “wombolombo” in an amazing performance, but judge Quantos thought they “tried to get better but still it didn’t cut it.

The biggest performance of the night came from the three pearls, Keshi 3 when they mounted the stage with “Akwaaba” by Angelique Kudjo leaving funs screaming with excitement. 

The crowd favorite, Breeze, also had a good show with “agolo” also by Angelique Kudjo, while R&M presented the crowd with a dramatic performance of Asa’s “jailer” which afforded viewers the opportunity of seeing one of the girls in a police uniform. Kyses also performed a beautiful rendition of “vulindela” originally sang by Brenda Fasie, but judge Stephanie Benson thought the “performance was not dramatic enough”.
