Ace Highlife superstar Aberantie Amakye Dede has endorsed  this year’s Music of Ghanaian Origin Concert (MOGO) as he will without any iota of doubt bring out ‘the new Amakye Dede.’
The Iron boy is noted for his unparalleled and irresistible stage presence that gets his audience asking for more anytime he performs. He says MOGO 2010 will see him perform like never before.
Amakye Dede was speaking to citifmonline.com ahead of Citi FM’s Music of Ghanaian Origin Concert (MOGO) which comes off on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the National Theatre.
The concert, considered by many pundits as Ghana’s biggest and most authentic highlife festival is an annual Ghanaian musical concert which brings together families, corporate institutions, individuals and lovers of highlife to celebrate genuine Ghanaian live band music.
Over the last five years, MOGO has featured some of the world renowned and most successful Ghanaian musicians, who performed live to thousands of music enthusiasts.

The year’s edition features some of the finest the continent has witnessed over the last few decades – the evergreen Ramblers International Band, Ace Keyboardist and performer Bessa Simons, Silky Voice Felix Owusu, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Burger Highlifge King, George Darko, young sensation Kwabena Kwabena and the Iron Boy, Abrantie Amakye Dede.
Amakye Dede says he is ready to unleash an extraordinary performance on the night – one that his fans have never witnessed before.

“Amakye Dede is always Amakye Dede but this time around we are going to go beyond what we are. We are going to do something different, something extraordinary; something ‘seeeerious’ so they should come and they will not regret.”, he said.
He says he is relying on God to give Ghanaians an unforgettable experience; one for their money’s worth.

“I always want my fans not to regret for paying to come and see me. I’m taking money from them and they are working to come and pay the money for something and so if somebody pays money and doesn’t get good results I think it’s not fair. That’s why I always try to give my fans my best.”, he explained.

The ‘Iron Boy’ explained why he always shouts “Serious” anytime he gets on stage.
“When I say that, I am telling my people that we have started so everybody must be serious. Some of us musicians forget that the work is show business. We need not throw away the business side of it; we must do the show and the business together.”

He has advised patrons of this year’s MOGO to come along with two shirts and two shoes because “If they are not careful, they will dance, dance, dance, their shirts will wet and their shoes too may spoil because this year the MOGO night, that’s the 3rd of December, it’s going to be seeeeeeeerious.”
