The World Bank, for some years now has been rewarding musicians who try to reach out to societies by way of being humanitarian.
Last year winner ASEM with his school ‘dey’ be project did very little or next to nothing for the students after going round the senior high schools promoting his music instead of empowering them.
On the “One show” on Viasat 1 last year, ASEM promised of a positive turn in his project this year 2011 before the music awards but up to now nothing has come from the Lynx Entertainment signed ‘No more Kpayor’, Filla O filla and alleged rap rapist artiste.
Instead of coming out with more news on his developmental projects, we have gathered that the artiste recently shot his ‘no more Kpayor’ video which will be released soon.
So we are asking, should the World Bank give out another $5000 to our musicians who earn up doing little or nothing for the very people who make them stars.
As Ghana music Awards 2011, its 12th Edition comes up in April, we are asking the organizers to review their World Bank humanitarian award, simply because our musicians don’t deserve it.
