ZAFAA is an annually film festival held in London, with the aim of giving African movie makers the motivation to do more.

The festival is calling for film entries from now to the 20th of May 2011, with the main event coming off in 20-22nd of Oct. 2011 inside London.

ZAFAA trophy as the media was allowed to touch was made of Gold, a worthy trophy worth fighting for; hence movie makers should cease the opportunity and locate ZAFAA office in Ghana, at North Legon- Kofi Annan street or reach Mr. Sly on 0243 41 16 72.

In a press conference, Mr. Sam Anwuzia joined with his team organizers explained that ZAFAA is an award with so much credibility, integrity and honesty, given their award winners some level of trust in them.

During the ZAFAA awards 2010, Ghana’s own Majid Michel won the best African Actor for that year and he was at the press launch to express his views.

Majid said: “ZAFAA was my first ever film award I won in my acting career and that same trophy saved me when I had a little problem at Lebanon airport, after the awards”.

Finally Majid endorsed the awards ceremony and was optimistic that his resign as the
ZAFAA best actor in Africa will remain only in Ghana.

ZAFAA is currently in 10 African countries including Ghana, and it hopes to spread more across the globe of Africa, to meet the founder and president’s dream.
