Evictions have always been the most dreaded part of every reality show, and when the time came for the first eviction on icons all hell broke loose when Eboni had to take the axe.
As much as Eboni did not put up an extraordinary performance last week like they are known for, it came as a big surprise to all when they had to share the bottom three spots with Chilli and Diamonds.
But the biggest shock of the night was when Chilli was announced as having escaped being in the bottom two.
Even though the news was received by audience with mixed feelings, judging by the performance of the group( who also believed they were in the bottom two when asked by Benny Blanco, the presenter of the show), it proved that viewers had to vote to keep their favorite group in the competition.
With all said and done, it all came down to the decision of the judges, which left Eboni to their sad fate as Quantos and Stephanie Benson saved Diamonds, leading a disappointed Gina West to saying that Diamonds “can’t sing”.
