From a humble
beginning of Kiss Me if you can, 2bad, then to Crazy through to Hotel Babylon,
young film director Kobi Rana is back again with another comedy movie titled
Azonto Boys’.
The director known
for his comic and romantic drama in most of his films did justice to this new
one – Azonto Boys.
Kobi Rana’s hard work
has always been the power to introduce new casts into the movie world and try
new things as a good director.
In a chat the
director said: ‘Comedy in Ghana just got finer as one of the craziest and most
creative comedy movies from ‘TALENTS UNITED’ movie production house comes your
way.
He mentioned: ‘It is amazing how a simple day
in typical Accra fishing community becomes so complicated and extremely funny
with intense suspense that refreshes the audience emotions from the opening to
end credits of the film – Azonto Boys’.
Talking about his cast names, Kobi said, the movie has Bismark Odoi, Leo Mensah, Kaf Jr, Pendor Borkum and Cindy Sesa as they will thrill you to an amazing performances.
Azonto Boys was shot on locations in Accra in English, with language in Pidgin, Twi and Ga, also the movie dwells on the lives of the poor and the rich, the gap, the swap and what men and women do for sex and money.
