The
general manager of Talk Of GH,Nana Yaw Boakye has taken on the
organizers of the forthcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2013 again.
He said “I vowed not to talk about this, Guess what? I lied, Nigga!! Lol” via his official twitter page @nanayawboakyeTG
He accused the organizers of poor organization by indicating that
the venue for the event isn’t the best,stating;“So the VGMA will be held
at the Conference centre and not the Dome? Eiiii even the nominees and
industry people alone will fill that place up”
He also accused MUSIGA, an association of Musicians in Ghana for
allowing foreigners to organize an event, which is suppose to honour
Ghanaian musicians who have worked so hard. He said, “One way or the
other,MUSIGA will have to take the blame. Like who should be blamed? An
event where Nigerians get to determine who’s making waves in Ghana
music. If it was a culture, It will be very transparent and rewarding.”
In his part to play to ensure that the right thing is done he said,
“So if we have to fire shots to get u guys on your toes, y’all better
be bulletproof vesting because I’m only aiming for heads.”
Nana Yaw is well known for his classroom sessions where he discusses in details the outcome of an event: the good and the bad.
