Known in real life as
Thomas Otoo hailing from Adabraka in Ghana, Motu Blanka as his stage name has officially
unleashed his newest single title ‘gyae no’ in the country.
The full blood of the
land that lives in ATL – USA is in town to pay homage to his motherland and the
people of Adabraka, fortunately he has granted 18newspaper.com an exclusive
interview about his current music state.
Motu Blanka started
by answering our first question which was, ‘what brought him back home and why
this time’.
He mentioned: ‘Ghanaian
music is going worldwide, the artiste here are doing great in the United States
hence I decide to come down and kick start a successful journey that has
already started in the states hence my simple mission in Ghana.’
He maintained: I respect
the kind of music the artiste are doing now, so in my little way I want to come
pay homage to the good work here, and do some ‘collabos’, so what a time to
back home when you know your root has a lot in stock for you’.

question we asked Motu Blanka was, looking at the current trend of music down
here, (talking about Azonto) does he think he can fit in.
‘the answer is
simple, I do worldwide music, am talking about music with language content, if
you listen to some of my music you will realize that I am a dynamic artiste who
can switch to any trend so far it is world music hence yes, I can fit perfectly
and funny enough my first single released in the states was an azonto sort of
song called ‘pool party’.
Currently with 22
songs all recorded, Motu Blanka is looking forward to a soon album release in Ghana
and hopes his family here will accepts his creativity and innovations.
‘I know Ghanaians
know good music, they want to always vibe to something better than just noise, I
have the lyrics to soften their hearts both in the Azonto way and melodious
angle hence I am in to stay in the music sector of Ghana’, Motu Blanka noted.
In his ending
statement he threw shouts to all ATL massive living in Ghana, following on
facebook, youtube and twitter plus all lovers of his great worldwide music. The
rapper also sent shouts to radioatl.com which is one of the biggest online
radio setup in ATL now.

returned with great music and lyrics, he kind of music is world music which is
to make people understand the message he is trying to send across, could that
be the key to international recognition for our local artistes, something for
them to think about.
