Young movie director Kobi
Rana returns with another hilarious romantic movie dubbed: ‘Love N facebook’
which premiers this weekend at the Executive Theater inside TV3 premises.
After stunning the world with
movies like crazy and Hotel Babylon, kobi who directs as well as produce wanted
perfect descriptions for my love plot hence the sub title once upon a time
online.
In a phone interview with
the director about the movie title as to whether it was an influence from a
personal experience, Kobi said: ‘well as an entertainer I always want to
lookout for the spots that will not only get the attention of my fans but also
make sure they are happy with the product they have received from me.’
Yes, the movie in question
has elements of personal experiences but I think everybody has passed through
that experience before hence it makes more fun knowing that people can relate
with the movie’.
It all started once upon a
time online where after several communication with one particular person, you
realize you are so much into the person but you have not necessarily set your
eyes on the person before but if you are online and the person is not, then you
get worried, Kobi gave us a sneak peak into the film.
Talking about his cast,
Kobi said, because I wanted every Ghanaian to understand my plot, also because
I wanted to tell an ordinary love and facebook story in a more extraordinary
way, a lot went into casting but at the end it was worth it.
The characters played it
very well and it felt real. Stars like Adjetey Anang, Roselyn Ngissah, Ebi
Bright, Babiee Dappah and Leo Mensah gave a touch of perfection to the movie.
One reason why movie
lovers should trip to the Executive Theater on Friday through to Sunday at 6pm
& 8pm each day is because, ‘I have done a lot of wired stuff but this is
very different’.
Apart from it being witty
and all, it has a message of how our life revolves around the social media
platforms. Also all the characters did something new, From Adjetey who is
always seen as a gentleman turns into a gym coach, plus more interesting
characters awaits you, just be there. Don’t miss it for anything.
