As we prepare for the grand show of the maiden awards ceremony to celebrate our hard working Film makers in the country, www.nanayaw18.com is doing a review of all nominations and nominees to see who is missing with who is not suppose to be there.
This week’s touch is on the best actor in a lead and supporting roles for both English and local movies. The review touches on Ace Actor Mr. Kofi Adgjololo.
Ace actor Kofi Adjorlolo was missing in the nominations list of the upcoming Ghana Movie Awards slated for 25th December 2010 at the International Conference Center.
Missing in action from all nominations, best Actor in a lead role, Best actor in a supporting role both for the English and local movies.
The actor has played lots of roles recently either as a lead or supporting actor in majority of movies produced including his current best, “TRINITY” and “BEAST”.
Kofi has acted in productions of both English and local movies with his current local movie been “Obaa Sima”, the movie also stars Agya Koo, but Agya Koo received nominations while Kofi Adjorlolo did not.
What are the organizers saying, is it to portray that thsey are trying to encourage the youth to enter in full time acting or trying to say that the old folks should retire.
Nominees for best actor in lead role English version are, Senanu Gbedawu of Check Mate, Majid Michel for Beast, J O T Agyeman , Prince David Osei, Eddie Nartey, Van Vicker and Ruffy Sammuel.
Nominees for best actor in a lead role for the local language are: Kofi Adu aka Agya Koo, Akwesi Boadi aka Akorbuto, Fancis Kusi, Timothy Bentum and Ebenezer Donkoh aka Katawere.
Are we saying that these magnificent actors are more extraordinary than Kofi Adgjolo, much respect to these actors but we sincerely disagree with these nominations with Kofi Adgjolo missing in action, an explanation is welcome concerning this nominations.
