Budding hip life artiste
Sokatoa has been threatened by some zongo guys who feel angry over the song the
artiste released recently featuring Iwan called EDUCATION.
The song which talks about
how the zongo community needs attention on education and more also on the issue
of how important it is to get knowledge if you are from Zongo area.
According to the artiste,
he grew up in the zone, he has seen how important education is now that he has
climbed the knowledge ladder hence he wants to create the aware to his fellow
zongo young folks who are now coming up to seek education.
Sokatoa said: ‘during my
youthful days in the zongo, I mean areas like; Darkuman, Fadaman, Nima, Mamobi
and newtown kids hardly seek wisdom. All we cared about those days are the fact
that we have food to eat and have a place to entertain ourselves, all the
things we did in the zongo during our youthful days are good but I feel
education should be the first, Sokatoa stressed.
In talking about the text
message sent to him by some peeved zongo boys, Sokatoa said that, the song with
Iwan is not suppose to get anybody angry or step on any toes but it is to
create the awareness that we at the zongo can do what anybody else does.
The message and the threat
has been reported at the Darkuman police station but the artiste wants the
whole country to know that, he has no plans of tarnishing the image of the
Zongo community hence all young guys should support him as he knocks on the
door of our policy makers to turn to the zongo.
