The likes of Kill Beatz released the killa riddim, JMJ also has the missile riddim and recently MixMasta Gazy also released the iPhone riddim.
All these riddims have one thing in common, they all fall within the dancehall genre and have had the very best music acts in that circle recorded the best songs on it.
The latest riddim in town which is yet to be released in by music producer We ye Oteng.
Oteng as he is popularly called is known for his hi-life traits and it is no wonder he released a riddim in that genre.
The hi-life riddim from Oteng is the first ever Hi-life riddim in Africa and he has already recorded names like Kumi guitar, Trigmatic, Quarme Zaggy and Afriyie.
When we spoke to the 'Odasani' hit producer, Oteng disclosed that he chose Hi-life because it is the origin of our music.
'Hi-life is a true identity of our land, i thought of all the genres but i wanted something that could easily be traced when heard outside Ghana and nothing comes to mind apart from Hi-life, he noted.
He opined that the first riddim is set for release on Thursday and it features Kumi Guitar.
He describes the song as a classical masterpiece which cannot be compared to any song in the system.
After Kumi Guitar on Thursday all the other artistes will follow.
